An Oscar De Larenta Wedding Gown…Still the Designer of Choice after all these Years. Oscar De La Renta has been dressing the rich and famous women of this world for decades. And all these years later, his designs are still turning heads and catching the eye of women everywhere-including many brides to be.
When thinking about a De La Renta wedding gown, one word comes to mind. Diverse. All one has to do is look at the 2012 collection of bridal gowns to see what I mean. There surely isn’t another designer out there that offers the diversity and variety in wedding gowns as does Oscar De La Renta.
Many of the gowns for the 2012 season are reminiscent of the 1960’s. They are slim cut, made of textured fabrics, feature sleeves and illusion necklines, adorned with beads and embroidery and are simplistically elegant.
Others, however, are more modern. For instance, the mermaid style gown with floral accents, the pale pink can-can style gown that could double as a Vegas show girl’s costume and the gown with a stain floral print skirt (floor length) topped with a sheer white fabric with a raised texture.
So what’s the appeal? Besides the diversity, that is? Is it the status behind the name? He did dress Jackie Kennedy, you know!
Brides feel safe with a gown by De La Renta. Planning a wedding comes with enough stress and decision making as it is. A gown from someone as knowledgeable, trusted and talented is a win-win situation. It’s quality. It’s style. Brides don’t have to worry about poor workmanship. They know they are getting what they pay for.
Yes, it’s true They know they are getting what they pay for.
Yes, it’s true you wear your wedding gown for only a short while for one day of your life, but a gown made by Oscar De La Renta is one you can proudly hand down for generations to come and know it will never go out of style.
